No writer has stretched the boundaries of time, space, and spirit like Jane Yolen. She was singular in her multitude of words.

Beyond her library of publications and museum of awards, it's the love she infused into the community that sings brightest. Her collaborative energy continues to echo. As we collectively remember Jane's generosity, our connectivity multiplies.

We mourn the passing of a Grand Master, while her example lives on. There's no wrong place to start, and so much to learn, on the journey through her writing. There is a time to search for owls, a time to fracture fairy tales, and a time to say good night. Let us celebrate the wisdom and hope she created.
