Winner Biographies

LeRoy Gorman lives in Napanee, Ontario, Canada. His poetry, much of it minimalist and visual, has appeared in publications and exhibitions worldwide. He is the author of two dozen poetry books and chapbooks.

Holly Day has taught writing classes at the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, since 2000. Her poetry has recently appeared in Tampa ReviewSLAB, and Gargoyle, and her published books include Walking Twin Cities, Music Theory for Dummies, Music Composition for Dummies, Guitar All-in-One for Dummies, and Piano and Keyboards for Dummies.

Sandi Leibowitz is a native New Yorker who writes speculative fiction and poetry, sings classical and early music, and plays recorders. She received her B.A. in English from Vassar College, and post-graduate degrees in English, Education and Library Science from NYU, William Paterson, and Rutgers. After a variety of careers and jobs (including ghostwriting for a monsignor and working behind one of the caribou dioramas at NY's Museum of Natural History), she is now an elementary-school librarian, which enables her to hook kids on reading, tell stories, and use puppets and funny voices. Her works may be found in Metaphorosis, Liminality, Mythic Delirium, Kaleidotrope, Mithila Review, and other magazines and anthologies. She invites you to drop in for a virtual visit at www.sandileibowitz.com
