Chicago Magazine highlights Afrofuturism Poets
Over at Chicago magazine, Adam Morgan has an article,"The Next Generation of Chicago Afrofuturism" where readers can "meet the women exploring the African diaspora through sci-fi, fantasy, and poetry." Among those he highlights in this trio are Eve Ewing and her book Electric Arches and Krista Franklin, as well as Ytasha Womack. It's a short read but for many of our readers it could provide a valuable lead regarding possible directions Afrofuturism poetics in the Midwest could go. Let us know what you think if you've read their work! Afrofuturism
