Over at Chicago magazine, Adam Morgan has an article,"The Next Generation of Chicago Afrofuturism" where readers can "meet the women exploring the African diaspora through sci-fi, fantasy, and poetry." Among those he highlights in this trio are Eve Ewing and her book Electric Arches and Krista Franklin, as well as Ytasha Womack.
It's a short read but for many of our readers it could provide a valuable lead regarding possible directions Afrofuturism poetics in the Midwest could go. Let us know what you think if you've read their work!
