Hello again, friends! Welcome to the next chapter in the ongoing saga of the 2017 Rhysling Poets’ Showcase. Today I'm pleased and privileged to introduce six more poets whose Rhysling-nominated poems you can read in the Anthology. Corrine De Winter is a Stoker Award winner for her poetry collection The Women at the Funeral. She has won numerous awards for her writing from the New York Quarterly, Triton College of Arts & Sciences, and the Rhysling Science Fiction Award. William Packard, former editor of the New York Quarterly, was a mentor, publishing De Winter’s work early on and inviting her to write “The Present State of American Poetry,” a regular feature in the journal. A naturalist, philanthropist, metaphysical seeker, artist, and the founder of “Small World Fund For Children,” host for Supernatural Radio on BlogTalkRadio.com, De Winter lives between this world and the next. Her debut poetry collection, Diary of a Sorceress, is forthcoming from Hippocampus Press in 2018. Her poetry has appeared in Weird Fiction Review, Spectral Realms, Weirdbook Magazine, Xnoybis, Necronomicum, Gothic Blue Book, and elsewhere. Her poem “Carathis,” published in Spectral Realms No. 1, appeared in Ellen Datlow’s full recommended Best Horror of the Year Volume Seven list. Dorr’s The Tears of Isis was a 2014 Bram Stoker Award nominee for Superior Achievement in a Fiction Collection. Other books include Strange Mistresses: Tales of Wonder and Romance, Darker Loves: Tales of Mystery and Regret, and his all-poetry Vamps (A Retrospective). Currently in press is a novel-in-stories, Tombs: A Chronicle of Latter-Day Times of Earth, scheduled for a June 1 release by Elder Signs Press. M Sereno is a Filipina writer and artist. Her writing has appeared in Strange Horizons, Interfictions, Uncanny, Stone Telling, and Goblin Fruit, among others. She is a 2016 Tiptree Fellow and a finalist for the 2017 Hugo Award for Best Fan Artist. His fifth poetry collection, The Offspring of the Moon, was published by Salmon Poetry in 2013. In 2007 he was awarded a Patrick and Katherine Kavanagh Fellowship in Poetry. His poems are widely published and some have appeared in Dreams & Nightmares, Eye to the Telescope, Grievous Angel, The Pedestal Magazine, Rose Red Review, Star*Line, and Strange Horizons. Marge Simon lives in Ocala, Florida, and is married to Bruce Boston. She edits a column, "Blood & Spades: Poets of the Dark Side," for the Horror Writers Association's monthly newsletter and serves as Chair of the HWA Board of Trustees. She won the Strange Horizons Readers Choice Award in 2010 and the HWA's Bram Stoker Award for Poetry three times, in 2007, 2012, and 2013. From the Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association (SFPA) she won the Rhysling Award in 1996 and 2015, the Dwarf Stars Award in 2012, and the Elgin Award for best poetry collection in 2015.
