Amy Steele

Blue Rose Dawn

Kettle whistles beneath the blue rose dawn.
The garden outside sways from the cat's feet.
and legs.

I poured enough coffee grinds for two. I
listen for the clicking of your computer, the
solidness of your feet.

But they were all in Tucson.
