Santa Fe Poetry Broadside / Talking Gourds issue
editor, Art Goodtimes of Norwood

Editor’s Intro:

For 18 years Talking Gourds has been a bardic practice for a group of poets and cultural creatives primarily in the Four Corners states. Inspired by the Way of the Mountain work of deep ecologist Dolores LaChapelle of Silverton, the talking gourds tradition of shared performance has taken a number of forms — from opera house stages to cliff-side mesa-tops — and in many places — Telluride, Gunnison, Paonia, Grand Junction, Norwood, Rockmirth, Windy Point and more.

I’m proud to present a small sampling of Talking Gourd poets in this issue of the Santa Fe Poetry Broadside. To learn more of our tribe, visit our website: www.coyotekiva.org/t-gourds.html. Thanks to all contributors, as well as Talking Gourd poet/photographer Kit Hedman of Denver for the original images (www.kithedman.com).
