of the wind. Faded red
swastika on wall stone, symbol
stolen from the world
below: Leaf ra-
vine, caliginous tunnels, veins
of underlight - what ignites
the world above.
Rock sings, dumb-
mouths slow-
shift with earth’s
turns. Who prays
to release spirits
chained
in red paint?
Fire:
Crow, red leaf.
Fire:
Black branch, red eye.
Fire:
Heart beat, sniper’s
scope.
