Judyth Hill

Just When You Thought it Was Safe

Woke up, looked close into the porcelain teacup.
On the lit surface of jasmine, shimmers, something, what --
Maybe the clouds, or stars breaking out in a stable
Pattern of myth: some sisters caught up there, the Hunter, a Virgin
Tangled in his glittering belt.

Look closer, the other husband has appeared, from the opposite
Sky.
