Wallace Stevens Doesn't Live Here Anymore

Brewed a cup of tea, green,
delicate notes of pear and ginger.
No negligee, no oranges, no parrot.

I'm not sensitive enough to understand this liquid.
want black and bitter.

The other wife sips hers as if she likes it.
She'd better.
