Barbara Ann Gurwitz
Barbara Ann Gurwitz moved to Arizona in 1979, marking the beginning of her interest in landscape painting. For her, the dynamics of the colors and shapes are as much the subject of her paintings as the actual location, perhaps even more so. Her work has appeared in many juried exhibitions, and is in the collections of such museums as the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C., Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson, AZ, Phippen Museum, Prescott, AZ. She has worked before with Elizabeth Searle Lamb, in the 1985 book, Casting into a Cloud : Southwest Haiku, by Elizabeth Searle Lamb, Illustrations by Barbara Gurwitz.
